Daniel Silver is a certified practicing counsellor (PACFA #28526) and educator.
Through his work, Daniel aims to help people live more fully, freely and thoughtfully. He specialises in general counselling for adults, child counselling, and process-led enquiry for groups.
Daniel’s approach is based on professional training and research in relational psychotherapy, applied philosophy, critical incident stress management, child inclusive practice and attachment-based parenting.
When working specifically with children Daniel draws on his experience in art/nature based education to help children learn to express themselves with skill and confidence.
Daniel also provides coaching to educators, and professional learning to organisations. He has worked previously in Sydney, Arnhem Land and Alice Springs.
“Daniel has been so helpful in supporting me on my journey in becoming more coherent, fulfilled and passionate in my work. He shares his knowledge and experience of development, relationships and creativity in an empowering way that helps to make sense of my own intuition. He notices the rhythms in my language and stories that I share, to illuminate something I’m seeking but find hard to articulate. His ability to deeply listen and link allows clarity to evolve from my personal perspective to solving issues that appear in my group programs. It becomes inner out work.” - Clio, Maroubra
“Dan has such a beautiful way of engaging and enabling children to flourish. No matter their age, ability, or emotional state, he has a gentle and deeply nurturing way of making children feel safe and supported.” - Aleta, Battery Point
"Daniel has a sophisticated understanding of counselling, clinical issues, and professional development, and has a natural teaching/facilitating manner when working with others in process-led enquiry." - Be Pannell, PhD, Associate Professor at the Australian College of Applied Psychology
